The Sheriff’s Office yesterday served a Possession of a Controlled Substance warrant on a Joanna man, which cited an offence last month. He is 30-year-old Michael Paul Green of 64 Browning Avenue Extension, Joanna, also known as “Mickey.” In the warrant, Lt. Marlon Higgenbotham states that on November 4th Michael Paul Green knowingly and intentionally possessed Xanax, a schedule IV controlled substance, without authority to do so.
Michael “Mickey” Green was released from the Johnson Detention Center on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
Green was placed in the Johnson Detention Center yesterday after his arrest by Clinton Public Safety at 8:26 Wednesday night. Sgt. Kenneth Prather wrote citations for three alleged offenses on Highway 56 North Wednesday night. The Public Safety charges included Public Intoxication, Operating a Moped without a Moped License, and a citation for the number of riders on a Moped.
PR bonds from $82 to $262.50 were noted on the Clinton charges. Sgt. Prather also issued Public Intoxication tickets on a Roebuck man and a Woodruff woman at the same time Wednesday night.
