A man recently released from serving time in jail on a Burglary charge was arrested yesterday morning after he was reportedly found hiding in bushes near a house that had a burglar alarm sounding and a bashed-in front door.
The alarm dispatched Laurens County Sheriff’s Lt. Marlon Higgenbotham to Raheja Road East of Laurens at 6:30 yesterday morning. On entering the drive, he allegedly observed 27-year-old Quentin Nicholas Green in a bush near the driveway. Asked for identification, Green reportedly showed his inmate identification papers.
Quentin Nicholas Green was booked in the Johnson Detention Center with an address listed at 219 Independence Avenue, Laurens; but also reportedly had an address at Harold’s Park in Clinton. Investigating Lt. Jawarski Shelton obtained a warrant and charged Quentin Green with 1st Degree Burglary, accusing him of entering a dwelling on Raheja Road yesterday during the nighttime, and of having a prior record of two or more convictions of burglary or housebreaking or a combination of both.
Quentin Nicholas Green was denied a bond during yesterday’s arraignment, and remains in the Johnson Detention Center.
