The parade formerly known as the “Red Neck Parade” has been rescheduled again. The initial date for this year’s Mount Olive Christmas Parade early in December was delayed until the Sunday before Christmas; but the weather turned bad for then, too, so the parade was renamed the Mount Olive Christmas and New Year’s Parade and set for this Sunday, the 29th.
Now, however, a 100% chance of rain Sunday has forced a third reschedule and the parade is to be tomorrow afternoon. So – take note – the Mount Olive Christmas & New Year’s Parade is now scheduled to begin at 4 pm tomorrow afternoon. The Parade will begin on Indian Mound Road near Mount Olive Church. Entries in the parade are still welcome. There is no entry fee but participants are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office for distribution to those in need.
Again – the Mount Olive Parade has been rescheduled (again) and it is to begin tomorrow – Saturday, December 28th – at 4 pm.
