A Clinton High School student was arrested yesterday on Simple Possession charges following an investigation that began with information from an administrator at another school. Public Safety Officer Josh Byers responded to Clinton High and had the student brought out of class. The student reportedly had wrapping papers in his personal possession. A search of the student’s car reportedly located two small baggies of marijuana in the center console. Another cut bag that apparently had previously contained marijuana was also located. The 17-year-old was taken to City Jail and booked at 11:30 am on charges of Simple Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was being held overnight, pending a bond hearing this morning.
