Domestic Violence Arrests

 The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men yesterday in connection with separate cases of domestic violence.

   32-year-old Julius Maurice Martin, also known as “Stunner,” had an address listed at 405 Friar Tuck Way, Laurens. In a warrant charging him with Criminal Domestic Violence, Deputy Charles Nations states that on February 23rd 2014 Julius Maurice Martin caused physical harm and had the apparent present ability to cause physical harm or injury under circumstances that reasonably created fear of imminent peril to the victim. He was being held in the Johnson Detention Center overnight.

  43-year-old Jamie Leroy Trent was booked yesterday listing a residence at 42 Crappie Drive, Greenwood. A warrant gave an address on Copperhead Drive, Waterloo. The warrant states that an investigation by Deputy Steve Paterson indicates that on February 20th, 2014 Jamie Trent caused physical harm or injury or offered or attempted to cause physical harm and had the apparent present ability to cause physical harm or injury under circumstances that reasonably created fear of imminent peril to victim.

Jamie Trent was being held overnight in the Johnson Detention Center, pending a bond hearing.
