Evergreen Skills Crowded, Additional Facility Announced

News of a facility to serve those with disabilities and special needs coming to Clinton later this year was revealed at Tuesday night’s Laurens County Council meeting. Laurens County Disabilities and Specials Needs Director Jason Tavenner told Council that the agency has purchased a building in Clinton that they plan to open this fall. Tavenner said that the Evergreen Skills Center is becoming overcrowded, and also said that the agency has a goal this year to offer community interaction points, acting as an employment agency for the disabled.  County Council declared March as “Disabilities Awareness Month.”
