Laurens County Deputies were searching for 40-year-old Thomas Edward Whitehead Jr. of 121 Community Center Road, Enoree Thursday Friday afternoon because they had an Attempted Murder warrant to serve on him. That warrant charges him with stabbing a Gray Court area woman in her back last Monday, March 10th, at Community Center Road, requiring medical treatment. Now he’s charged with 2nd and 3rd charges of Attempted Murder, for allegedly attempting to kill two Laurens County Deputies who were trying to arrest him last Thursday afternoon at 151 Community Center Road.
In addition to the three counts of Attempted Murder, Whitehead was also charged with Two Counts, Use of a Weapon (a bomb) during a Violent Crime, and Use of a Weapon, a Knife, in the March 10th incident.
Lt. J.D. Shelton also charged Whitehead in warrants with a Bomb Threat last Thursday, with Manufacture of a Fire Bomb, and with Resisting Arrest with a Deadly Weapon.
Whitehead was also charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Unlawful Disposal of Meth Waste. Lt. Shelton states that on March 13th Whitehead had in his possession items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine at 151 Community Center Road, and that he unlawfully disposed of Methamphetamine Waste at that location on that date.
In all, he’s charged with ten counts, and bond was denied on all ten during his arraignment.
40-year-old Thomas Edward Whitehead Jr. remains in the Laurens County Detention Center.
