Charges were served yesterday on an Upper Laurens County man who was arrested Tuesday night following the alleged discovery of methamphetamine and meth-related items in his residence. Deputy Steven Sweat went to 285 Mt. Carmel Road, Fountain Inn at 7:13pm Tuesday after receiving information about possible drug activity. 49-year-old Randolph Burton of 286 Mt. Carmel Road, Fountain Inn was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. The warrant alleges this occurred March 25 at 285 Mount Carmel Road. A $25,000 Surety bond was set during arraignment. Randolph Burton remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
