Counterfeit Bills in Clinton & Laurens

    Clinton Public Safety was dispatched to Musgrove Street at 11:51 Friday night on a report of a counterfeit $100 bill. Officer Beau Wright reported observing that the bill was taped together in places and appeared to be ‘off color.’ The bill was confiscated and officers were checking on the source of it.


  Laurens Police were dispatched to Walgreens at 814 East Main at 9:29 Saturday morning on a report of counterfeit money. Lt. Brandy Anderson was informed that between 6 and 10 Friday evening an unknown female had presented a $50 bill to pay for her merchandise and a clerk took the bill. The $50 bill was turned over to police.
