Attempted Murder from Monday Shooting

A Clinton man was charged with Attempted Murder yesterday in connection with a shooting outside Clinton this past Monday. 25-year-old Keyshadd Martavren Rooks, also known as “Crack,” of 403 South Livingston Street, Clinton was charged yesterday with Attempted Murder and with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm in connection with the alleged shooting on Taylor Drive, off Captain Guy Road just west of town Monday.

Lt. J.D. Shelton states that on May 26th Rooks did discharge a firearm many times at a victim in an attempt to murder the victim. This allegedly occurred at 24 Taylor Drive, Clinton. Keyshadd Rooks is also accused of pointing a firearm at another victim at 114 Taylor Drive on Monday. During arraignment yesterday, bond was denied on both the Attempted Murder and Pointing and Presenting charges. 25-year-old Keyshadd “Crack” Rooks of South Livingston remains in the Johnson Detention Center.
