Ginn rose through the enlisted ranks and was eventually promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and deployed to Iraq, where he received numerous awards and commendations, including the Bronze Star. Ginn also served as a law enforcement professional with the Laurens Police Department as a Master Patrol Officer and School Resource Officer. Price’s award winning essay, Why is character important in military and law enforcement personnel, was unanimously chosen by a panel of judges from various backgrounds. Price graduated from Laurens District 55 High School and will be entering basic training for the United States Coast Guard in July.
