Tuesday Deputy McMahan of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to an Enoree business concerning a stolen vehicle tag. The complainant stated the company had a Kenworth tractor that was parked on the property and used for sight purposes. She said the tag was last renewed in March 2001. She said the company had received a letter stating they owe New YorkState for a toll fee involving their tag. She said that was when she looked back through paperwork and found the truck was parked for sight use and the tag was never turned in but the tag number still comes back to their company. She contacted the New York toll company and they said the tag was on a truck being hauled by another truck but they could not tell the make of the vehicle. The deputy ran the tag number and it came back to 2 door ford in Miami GardensFlorida. That was all the information that could be attained. The tag was entered into NCIC as stolen.
