Thursday around 12:30 pm A search warrant was executed at a South Woodrow St. Apartment. Officers knocked on the door for several minutes with no response. Officers then made contact with the landlord who came to the location and knocked on the door with no response. An officer then went by the subject’s mother’s residence to determine if she was there. The subjects were not there so the officers made the decision to forcibly enter the residence. Officers made entry and began clearing the residence. The subjects were located sleeping in a bedroom. A 5 month old child was in the bedroom as well. Officers placed the male subject in investigative detention and the female subject was allowed to care for the child. The search warrant was executed and officers began searching the residence. Items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were recovered as well as a small amount of marijuana located on the coffee table in the living room, used syringes and drug paraphernalia. Two “one pots” meth containers were found in the freezer beside frozen food. The sled clean up crew was called in and they took all of the flammable materials used in the manufacture process.
27 Year old James Victor Couey and 21 year old Regina Elaine Eubanks, both of 200 South Woodrow Street Apt. 10 were arrested on scene and charged with Unlawful neglect of a child, manufacturing methamphetamine, simple possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
