Cross Hill Woman Has Multiple “Meth-” Charges

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday charged a Cross Hill woman with multiple drug offenses, following her arrest Tuesday. 41-year-old Sherry Lane Brock of 716 Angler’s Haven Road was charged with

Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Illegal Disposal of Meth Waste, Possession of Methamphetamine, Manufacturing Meth in the Presence of a Child, Child Neglect and False Information to Police.

Sgt. Matt Veal states that on July 22nd Sherry Lane Brock had in her possession items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine at 716 Angler’s Haven Road, Cross Hill. …that she illegally disposed of waste from manufacture of meth without authority to do so at that location. …that she possessed less than one ounce of methamphetamine July 22nd at 716 Angler’s Haven Road. …that she unlawfully exposed a minor child to the process of manufacturing methamphetamine (at same location).   ..and that on July 22nd, 2014 at Angler’s Haven Road, Cross Hill she placed a minor child at unreasonable risk of harm by testing positive to methamphetamine, and that the defendant had custody of the minor child and is the child’s parent or guardian. She was also accused of giving false information to law enforcement Tuesday. .

Bonds on the six charges yesterday totaled $50,000. Sherry Brock remained in the Johnson Detention Center, also with a detainer from Greenwood County for a drug charge there.
