Duncan on House Floor Regarding Lawsuit VS the President

The US House voted yesterday to sue the President for actions inconsistent with the constitution. Congressman Jeff Duncan of Laurens County was among those speaking on the matter. He cited changes in the Affordable Health Care Law made by the president as well as changes in immigration and many other laws as ‘overreaches’ by the administration. “Let’s take this president to court because I believe we need to take whatever steps necessary in our power to reign in this administration, hold them accountable to the United States Constitution, and to the citizens of the United States of America.  The Founding Fathers gave us this recourse to restore the balance of power and uphold the rule of law. That……that is why this is so important. That’s important, for this legislative branch to reassert our authority.…to make the law…so he can enforce the law.”
