2nd Charge from Incident with ‘Repo Man’

A man arrested early last week for an alleged assault on a tow truck operator attempting to repossess a vehicle from his yard had an additional charge served yesterday. 38-year-old Michael Eugene Dorsey of 1255 New Prospect Church Road, Laurens was served with a Malicious Damage warrant yesterday, in which Deputy Farrah Cook states that on July 28th Michael Dorsey did willfully and maliciously do damage of less than $2,000 to the personal property of a victim by striking the hood of his tow truck with a wooden object. That wooden object, reportedly a table leg removed from another vehicle in the yard, had allegedly been used to beat on the tow truck, causing a dent, and was allegedly held against the face of one of the tow truck workers. Michael Dorsey was released from the Johnson Detention Center yesterday on posting a $1,092 personal recognizance bond on the Malicious Damage charge.
