Technology Instructors Come to Laurens

MechatronicsTrainingCAMPiedmont Technical College recently hosted Mechatronics instructors from across South Carolina at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) just outside Laurens. Sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Education Office of Career and Technology along with the Piedmont Technical College Mechatronics Department, the training session brought educators from schools and career centers such as Clinton High School, the Newberry County Career Center, Chester County Career Center, Clover High School, Daniel Morgan Technology Center, Marlboro County High School, Wade Hampton High School and Wando High School. The new lab and mechatronics classroom were part of the Phase II construction at the CAM on Interstate 385 at US 221, and will help offer the full mechatronics associate degree beginning this fall.
