Man Arrested on Warrants from July

19 Year Old Derrick Torrall Waldon of 1338 Bull Hill Rd, Gray Court was booked into the Johnson Detention Center Monday by the Laurens Police Department on warrants stemming from a July 6th incident on Spring Street In Laurens. He was charged with Loitering, Felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest. Warrants state that on July 6th, Waldon was loitering for the purpose of drug activity in the parking lot of 218 Spring Street in the city of Laurens, did commit the crime of resisting arrest by fleeing from the scene after being advised he was under arrest at 218 Spring Street in Laurens, and did have in his possession a silver and black Smith & Wesson .38 revolver. Waldon had previously been convicted of a felony and is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition pursuant to the federal gun control act of 1968. Derrick Waldon awaits his bond hearing in the Johnson Detention Center as of this posting.
