Chase Around A Field Leads to Arrest

Tuesday at 7:24pm Clinton Department of Public Safety Officers were called to a Horne Street Clinton residence in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who stated the subject tried to get into a physical altercation by coming over to his home. He said the subject chased him around his yard and stated he was going to kick his synonym for an animal of great biblical importance. The victim said he didn’t know why the subject was upset with him but the victims mother said he was upset because of a relationship with the subject’s girlfriend. The victims mother said she saw the subject chasing the victim around the yard and heard him say “your mama can’t help you now”. The report states that the victim ran into his home and got his father. The victim’s father approached the subject and told him to go home. That was when CDPS was called. The responding officer then walked over to the subject’s address across the street to talk with the subject and confronted the subject on his front porch and asked what happened. The subject said he was upset with the victim for talking to his girlfriend. When asked if he chased the victim he said he chased him around a field but did not say anything about beating him up. The subject was then arrested for simple assault. The victim said he did not wish to press charges. 22 year old Dominic Amond Fleming of 311 East Ferguson Street was booked into the Clinton Department of Public Safety and released on a $500 PR Bond
