Man Jailed After 911 Calls

Deputy Timothy Byrd was dispatched to Dora Road outside Clinton at 59 minutes after midnight yesterday morning on a report of a 911 hang-up call. A subject then reportedly called back from that residence and began ranting at the dispatcher, cursing at her and making threats against her and against a local Judge. Deputy Byrd noted that the dispatcher attempted to assist the caller multiple times. The man also allegedly threatened to blow up all Laurens County. 61-year-old Arthur Lee Davis of 211 Dora Road, Clinton was arrested at his residence and transported to the Johnson Detention Center. He was charged with Illegal Use of the 911 System. Davis was released on bond later yesterday.
