Bench Warrant from Domestic Violence Sentence

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday booked a Newberry man on a bench warrant from a domestic violence conviction a year and a half ago. 24-year-old Ernest James Hyler III of 901 Hana Street, Newberry was served with a Magistrate’s Court Bench Warrant which states that on December 9, 2013 Hyler was convicted in Laurens County Magistrate’s Court with Criminal Domestic Violence with a sentence imposed of $2,150 fine or jail time of 30 days. The bench warrant issued May 12th 2014 calls for him to be placed in custody on that conviction.
