Two Charged with Meth Manufacture

A man and woman arrested overnight from an allegedly active meth lab near Fountain Inn were formally charged yesterday by the Sheriff’s Office. 32-year-old Holly Rebecca Williams of 121 Ridgecrest Drive, Fountain Inn and 29-year-old Gary Michael Ruby Jr. who gave an address in Travelers Rest were both charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Simple Possession of Marijuana and with Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Violent Crime. In warrants served on both yesterday, Deputy Timothy Byrd states that investigation of Lt. Marlon Higgenbotham indicates that on August 24th they had items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine at 121 Ridgecrest Drive, Fountain Inn, that they unlawfully disposed of methamphetamine waste at that location, that both possessed methamphetamine with intent to distribute, knowingly possessed one ounce of marijuana and that they knowingly and willfully displayed what appeared to be a firearm during commission of a violent crime. Bonds were set on the five charges yesterday totaling $62,620 for each suspect. Gary Michael Ruby Jr. of Travelers Rest and Holly Rebecca Williams of Fountain Inn remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
