Charges Starting to Stack Up

The Highway Patrol arrested a man yesterday morning on traffic charges who subsequently is facing stiffer charges from the State Probation and Parole Service. Lance Corporal Lazar arrested 28-year-old Jeffrey Charles Hageman of 107 Dairy Road, Honea Path, issuing tickets at 8:10 am on US 76 in the Hickory Tavern area, charging him with No Driver’s License and Giving False Information. Bonds were set at $237 and $470 on those charges. State Pardon, Probation and Parole served Jeffery Hageman with Violation of Probation. He is accused of not reporting to his agent since November of 2012, of not providing proof of residence and not contacting agent by violating federal, state and/or local laws, having been tried in his absence and convicted in Laurens County on traffic charges of driving without a license and speeding. Additional failures alleged include making no attempt to pay towards financial obligations and being in arrears on his drug tests. A $35,000 cash or surety bond was set yesterday on the Probation Violation charge. Jeffery Charles Hageman remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
