Malicious Damage becomes a Domestic Violence Case

Clinton Public Safety Officer Stephen Lawton was dispatched on a malicious damage report at 7:36 last evening, but before arriving additional calls came in that required immediate response. When he made contact with a woman reporting the damage, he was told of the woman having gone to where her former live-in boyfriend was visiting his uncle to get keys to his house so she could get her kid’s baseball stuff for an upcoming game. The man reportedly became very irritated, came to a fence where she was parked and threw a beer bottle, which broke a front driver-side window of her vehicle. She reportedly had minor lacerations on her arm and leg. Initial attempts to locate the man were not successful. Domestic Violence and Malicious Damage charges were pending.
