Arrest Cites Tuesday Domestic Incident

Laurens City Police yesterday served a local man with charges from an alleged domestic incident Tuesday. A woman had reported she and her x-spouse had been at his mother’s house and he’d been drinking. After returning to their house, he reportedly became upset about the landlord threatening eviction if he caused more trouble. He then allegedly began fussing at his x-spouse. 62-year-old James Oscar Tribble of 125 Miller Street, Laurens was charged with Criminal Domestic Violence. A warrant states that on August 26th Mr. Tribble committed the crime of Criminal Domestic Violence by strangling the victim during an argument that occurred at 125 Miller Street in Laurens. James Oscar Tribble of Miller Street remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
