Robots On the Loose!

Laurens District 55 High School this week is the scene of an annual Hot Rod STEM Camp. It’s hosted by LDHS FRC Team 4451, also called “Robotz Garage.” Team Mentors Rob Sheffield and Beth Towles said today is a very exciting day for the camp because the South Carolina National Guard is sharing some of its High-Tech equipment with the team. That was to happen at 8:30 this morning. 54 campers are spending the week with the camp, having fun with science, technology, engineering, and math. Sheffield and Towles stated the passion and creativity of the campers is very impressive. A closing ceremony for the Hot Rod STEM Camp at LDHS will be held at 3:00 this afternoon in the Lecture Theatre.
