Weather Improves, “Rhythm on the Rails” a Saturday Hit

While Friday’s heavy rain may have dampened the spirits of some for the Rhythm on the Rails festival, better weather Saturday was encouraging for festival-goers. Special Events Coordinator Mary Wallace Riley said the improved weather resulted in good crowds for Saturday’s festivities. She thanked city employees and festival volunteers for their work in putting on the Rhythm on the Rails festival. We observed a big crowd gathered around the depot late Saturday afternoon under a partly cloudy sky for the concert from the beach music band “Too Much Sylvia.”
