College Notes: It has been a while since we talked about the Division I college basketball rankings so let’s take care of that now.

  • Men’s AP Poll… The top 3 teams in this week’s poll are exactly the same as last week’s as Gonzaga, Villanova and Kansas hold them down in that order… Baylor jumped up from 6 to 4 and Arizona jumped from 9 to5… The balance of the top10 in order are UCLA, Oregon, Louisville, West Virginia and North Carolina… South Carolina checks in at # 21 but will most likely drop next week after their loss to Arkansas last night… To see the entire poll, click here.
  • Women’s AP Poll… In the women’s AP Poll it is no surprise that UCon the winner of 100 consecutive games is still at the top but there was some shakeup below them… Maryland jumps up a spot to #2 and Mississippi State does the same going from 4 to 3… Baylor dropped from 2 to 4 and is tied for #4 with Florida State… spots 6-10 are occupied by South Carolina, Notre Dame, Texas, Washington and Stanford… To see the entire poll, click here.
