Coates Named Laurens County Officer of the Year

Police Officers and Deputies from Clinton Public Safety, Laurens City Police Department and the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office gathered at the Laurens County Higher Education Center Tuesday for the Laurens County Officer of the Year recognition. A committee that consisted of sponsors for the event interviewed nominees from each agency. Announced as the 2017 Laurens County Officer of the Year was 20-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office, Captain Mickey Coats. Other nominated included Officer Ben Gallo of Laurens City Police and Lt. Catherine Anderson of Clinton Public Safety.
