Laurens LL Majors All-Stars Open State Tournament Play… Over the weekend this team opened play in the state tournament up in Taylors at the Northwood LL facility

  • Saturday: Laurens 14 – Darlington 5… On Saturday the team wasted little time scoring as they scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and 5 more in the bottom of the 2nd and then went on to take a 14-5 win over an all-star team from Darlington… Laurens outhit Darlington 9-3 and took advantage of at least 4 Darlington miscues.
  • Sunday: Laurens 12 – Tega Cay-Fort Mill 5… Yesterday the team did not get on the board first the team from TCFM did that scoring 1 run in the top of the first inning… However Laurens did get on the board the most as they put 6 on the board in the second inning and then went on to take a 12-5 win over TCFM… Laurens batts came alive pounding out 16 hits while their 3 pitchers held TCFM to just 4 hits… Laurens is one of only 2 undefeated teams left in the double elimination tournament and they are scheduled to face off against the other undefeated team from Greenville tomorrow at 6 pm… I am sure they would appreciate a lot of fans coming up there tomorrow to cheer them on.
