Sports Report for Monday, 8-7-2017

Local Notes:

Raiders and Red Devils Hit Someone Else Besides Themselves

  • Raiders… The Laurens Raiders hosted the BHP Bears and the Rebels of Strom Thurmond late last Friday afternoon… Both those teams are traditional powers and watching them it appears they will be so again this year… All the teams had early season mistakes as is to be expected with timing on offense and all had their share of penalties… The Raiders will be back in action tomorrow as they host the Byrnes Rebels at 5:20… If you get a chance, come on out and watch the Raiders and it is free.
  • Red Devils… The Red Devils traveled to Emerald last Saturday morning and Midland Valley was the third team there… While I was not able to go the reports I have heard are very positive as to the Red Devils performance… The Red Devils are scheduled to go to BHP tomorrow and I will try to find out at what time and get that to you tomorrow.
