PC Season Football Tickets on Sale

  • PC has 7 home games this season and the first one is on Saturday, Sept 16 when the Blue Hose host Campbell in the first of 6 home games in a row.
  • Blue chair back reserve seats are only $120.00 for the entire 7-game home season.
  • Bench reserved seating is $90 per seat for the season.
  • Parking is $5 per game but season parking passes are available for $25.
  • Per game seating (subject to availability) is $2o per game for chair type seats bench general admission will be $10 per seat for adults and $5 for students.

Clinton O-Zone All-Stars Win First Game

  • Clinton 16 – Oxford 1 (3)… The Clinton 11-12 All-stars open the Dixie Youth Ozone World Series in Oxford Alabama defeating the host team, Oxford, 16-1 in 3 innings… Luke White pitched 1 inning, allowing 1 hit and 1 run.  Caleb Taylor pitched the 2nd and 3rd innings giving up 1 hit and striking out 3… The All-stars scored 5 in the 1st inning off 3 singles and 2 walks…  The inning was highlighted by a bases clearing 3 run double from Landen Vo… Clinton would score 6 more runs in the 2nd inning highlighted by run scoring doubles from Kason and Justin Copeland… The 3rd inning saw the All-stars put their last 5 runs on the scoreboard making the final 16-1…  Justin Copeland homered to center field scoring 2 and RT Corley ended the game with a run scoring 2 out double…”Great way to start the World Series!  We hit well today and took advantage of our opportunities.  Very proud of Caleb Taylor, put him in a tough spot there in the 2nd with runners on and no outs and he got us out of the inning without giving up a run on only 11 pitches. That turned the game around.  We’ll need to play well tomorrow against a very good Tennessee team.” Head Coach Matt Stewart commented afterward… With the win the All-stars (Team South Carolina), advance and were supposed to play to play Tennessee, (a 16-2 winner over Arkansas) on Sunday but rain in the area postponed that game until yesterday

Scrimmages Today:

  • Clinton… The Red Devils football team will travel to BHP this morning for a 10 am scrimmage with the always tough BHP Bears.
  • Laurens… The Laurens Raiders football team will host the Rebels of Byrnes HS this afternoon in a scrimmage at 5:30.
  • Laurens Volleyball… The Raider volleyball team will travel to Abbeville this afternoon for a 5pm scrimmage with the Panthers.

Freshman Football Practice at LDHS Starts Today.

  • A quick reminder for anyone who wants to come out for freshman football at LDHS, practice starts today at 9:00 am.

 WSPA Red Zone Football Previews… As they have done for the last several years, WSPA TV will be previewing different area football teams each night in their 6 pm & 11 pm newscast from now until the season starts on August 25th… According to their schedule on their website, they will feature the Clinton Red Devils on the 11 pm newscast on Thursday 8-25 the night before the opening of the football season… Then the next night (Friday, 8-25) on the 6 pm newscast they will feature the Laurens Raiders… If you wish to see their entire schedule, click here.

  • Braves… The 51-59 Braves were off last night but return to action tonight as they start a short 2-game series with the Phillies tonight at Sun Trust Park in Atlanta.
  • Drive 6 – Intimidators 1… The Greenville Drive opened a 3-game series up in Kannapolis, NC last night with a 6-1 win over the Intimidators… The game was only 1-0 Drive going into the 5th inning when the Drive struck for 2 runs and then added 2 more in the 7th and a single run in the 9th while holding the Intimidators to just a single run in the 7th.
  • Panthers Training Camp … The Panthers once again are at Wofford College conducting their very popular preseason training camp… To go to the Panthers website where you can get all your questions as to dates, times, parking directions and what you can bring or not bring, click here…. The Panthers will be on the practice field       from 9:25-11:30 am today.

  • Back to School Celebration This Saturday in Gray Court… This coming Saturday (August 12th) there will be a Back to School Celebration for students in grades K4-12 who live in the Gray Court – Owens attendance area… The event is being sponsored by Be Relevant a community group in Gray Court… The event will take place in the lot beside the Town Hall and will run from 11am – 2 pm.
  • Met The Devils… Meet the Devils for fall sports will be on Thursday, August 17, at 6:00 in the CHS gym.  JV and varsity cheerleaders, JV and varsity volleyball players, girls’ tennis players, cross country team members, and the JV and varsity football teams will be recognized. CMS cheerleaders, volleyball players, and football players will also receive recognition.  Come out and support YOUR Red Devils!  GO BIG RED!
  • Clinton YMCA Fall Flag Football and Cheerleading… Registration is now open for flag football and cheerleading at the Clinton Family YMCA… For flag football there will be 3 age groupings 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12…. Cheerleading is open to youth in grades K-6….   • Red Devil Season Football Tickets on Sale …. Season football tickets for Red Devil football are now on sale at CHS. .  During the summer dates we will sell season tickets Monday through Thursday from 8:30-1:30 in the athletics office located in the main gym…  When school starts back on August 17th tickets will be sold 8:30-1:30 Monday through Friday…  Please enter through the main entrance of the gym, and Kathy Schumpert’s office is to the left and first office on the left (beside the men’s restroom in the gym lobby).  Kathy will also have membership forms for you to sign up with the CHS Booster Club as well…  Season Tickets will be $45 for one season ticket and one parking pass…  It will be $90 for two season tickets and one parking pass…  If you are a senior pass holder, you may purchase a parking pass for $20…  Parking spaces are limited, so they will be issued on a first come first serve basis… All senior pass holders must come to pick up a new senior pass this year!!!!  Senior passes will be printed each year starting with this up and coming school year…  All seniors may pick up their new senior pass in the athletics office and may come during the hours listed above…  All seniors must be prepared to show an ID to Kathy Schumpert…  In order to receive a senior pass, an individual must be at least 65 years old or older… If you need to make arrangements for an alternate time to pick up season tickets or senior passes, please call Kathy Schumpert at 864-938-1981 or Nickie Templeton at 864-938-1982.
  • LDHS Athletic Booster Club – Century Club Membership… Membership renewal letters and forms for the Laurens Athletic Booster Club Century Club have been mailed to last year’s members… Now if you did not get yours or you would like to join the Century Club, don’t worry I have links to all the information you need to know about it here… To find out what you get with the Century Club (reserved seats, parking, passes to other regular season home sports, etc.) and cost, click here….
