2 Charged with Violation of Probation

Moving without permission of a probation officer was among the allegations South Carolina Pardon, Probation and Parole issued on two men who were placed in the Laurens County Detention Center yesterday. Both were charged with Violation of Probation.

52-year-old Randolph Burton of 289 Mt. Carmel Road, Gray Court was accused of failing to report on and since May 4th of this year, along with absconding supervision by an unauthorized move of residence. Mr. Burton is also accused of failing to maintain employment and of being behind on required payments.

33-year-old Kelly Maurice Manley Jr. of 28 Judson Road, Greenville is also accused of moving to an unknown location, thereby absconding supervision. That was allegedly evidenced with a June 7th home visit. He was further accused of failing to pay for his drug test fee, and to attend substance abuse counseling as ordered by the court. His warrant also alleged a failure to follow advice and instructions of his agent.

Mr. Manley and Mr. Burton were being held overnight, awaiting bond hearings today on their Violation of Probation charges.
