Bond Denied on 3 “High & Aggravated” Assault Charges

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a young man for allegedly assaulting three people at home yesterday. 24-year-old Joshua Lucas Gallman of 1091 Amber Hill Circle, Cross Hill was charged with three counts of Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature. Each assault was deemed as being of a high and aggravated nature for his allegedly threatening to kill the victims while holding a shotgun.

He allegedly struck one victim in the back of the head with a liquor bottle and hit him several times in the face, causing a black eye and bruising. He’s accused of slamming another victim into the wall, spitting on her face repeatedly and slapping her in the face and knocking her to the floor several times. Gallman is accused of assaulting the third victim by knocking him to the floor, knocking the wind out of him and of throwing him to the floor on his head.

Bond was denied on all three charges. Joshua Lucas Gallman remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
