2 Charged in Sunday Break-Ins at Hwy 308 Location

Break-ins to a home and an outbuilding and three motor vehicle thefts from Highway 308 northwest of Clinton Sunday were referenced by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office with warrants served yesterday on a man and woman who had been arrested Wednesday of this week.

31-year-old Ronald M. Kiser of 108 Fowler Street, Fountain Inn is charged with 2nd Degree Burglary and three counts of Grand Larceny from last Sunday’s alleged break-in and vehicle thefts.

Deputy David Staton states that on November 19th Ronald McQue Keiser entered a dwelling on Highway 308 without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein. Other warrants citing Deputy Staton’s investigation allege that Keiser took a 2005 Kawasaki KX85 dirt bike valued at $2,500 and a 2006 Kawasaki KLX 250 dirt bike valued at $3,000, both of which belonged to victim of the home burglary. Keiser also is accused of taking a 1996 Honda Accord EX, valued at $5,000, that belonged to another victim.

Cash or surety bonds were set yesterday at $7,000 on the 2nd Degree Burglary charge and totaling $12,500 on the three Grand Larceny warrants.

Keiser was also charged with a car chase one month ago. A warrant citing an investigation of Deputy Robinson states that on October 23rd Keiser failed to stop a vehicle he was driving in Laurens County when signaled by means of siren and flashing lights on a law enforcement vehicle. With a $5,000 bond set on that charge, Ronald McQue Keiser remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with bonds totaling $24,500 on all five warrants.

Also arrested Wednesday regarding the events this past Sunday on Highway 308 was 27-year-old Emily Ruth Hagan of 219 Garrett Drive, Greenwood. She was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree. A warrant citing the investigation of Deputy David Staton states that on November 19th Ms. Hagan entered an outbuilding in the nighttime at the same Highway 308 address without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein. Emily Ruth Hagan remained in the Laurens County Detention Center this morning with a cash or surety bond set at $5,000.
