College Notes:

  • Playoff Pairings Announced… In case you missed it yesterday, the committee that sets the final 4 rankings for the college playoffs has spoken and they say the Clemson ends the season with the #1 ranking going into the bowl season… Oklahoma checks in at #2 and then two SEC teams land at 3 & 4… SEC Champion Georgia picked up the #3 spot and Alabama the #4… That means that the Tigers will face the Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl game on January 1st and Oklahoma and Georgia will collide in the Rose Bowl that same day with the two winners to play for the National Championship a week later… I’ll have more on the other Bowls tomorrow but I will tell you that the gamecocks will take on the Michigan Wolverines in the Outback Bowl in Tampa.
