Burglaries Friday & Saturday

A Princeton area man was arrested this weekend regarding two burglaries and a theft Friday and Saturday in the Gray Court area. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office charged 25-year-old Brandon Allen Smith of Latimer Ridge Road, Honea Path with Burglary 1st Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny.

In a warrant charging 1st Degree Burglary, Sgt. Ronald Richey states that on December 16th one Brandon Allen Smith entered a dwelling on Marler Road without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein, entering at night while the victim was asleep in the home.

In a 2nd Degree Burglary warrant, Sgt. Richey states that on December 15th Smith entered this dwelling on Marler Road without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein. He allegedly stole keys to a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up. A Grand Larceny warrant states that Brandon Smith took the Chevy pick-up truck, valued at $6,000.

Cash or surety bonds were set totaling $37,000 on the three charges. Brandon Allen Smith remained in the Laurens County Detention Center this morning.
