“PWID” Drug Charges for Man, Woman

Two Clinton residents were charged yesterday with Possession of a Drug with Intent to Distribute, after initially being charged with Violation of Probation after their Wednesday evening arrests.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office charged 49-year-old Gregory Alan Templeton, listed as a resident of  Clinton with a 3rd or Subsequent offense, Possession of a Narcotic in Schedule I thru III with Intent to Distribute and with 2nd or subsequent offense of Possession of another Controlled Substance in Schedule I thru V. Cash or surety bonds on his drug charges were set totaling $55,000.

32-year-old Shamika Nicole Johnson was booked Wednesday with an address noted as the Days Inn of Clinton. She had similar charges, accused of 2nd or Subsequent Offense for Possession of a Narcotic in Schedule I thru III with Intent to Distribute and 2nd Offense for Possession of a Controlled Substance in Schedule I thru V. Her cash or surety bonds were set totaling $35,000 on the two drug charges.

Gregory Alan Templeton and Shamika Nicole Johnson both remained in the Laurens County Detention Center this morning, facing both the drug and probation charges.
