  • G: LA 48– WA 36… The Lady Crusaders completed their regular season last night with a 48-36 win over the Patriots thus closing out the season undefeated in the region and with only 1 loss to a SCHSL-AAAAA Fort Mill in a holiday tournament… The Crusaders did what they usually do in that they jumped out to a quick lead (16-4 after 1 and 20-9 at the half) and then went on to the win… Ruthie Moore had a game-high 20 points to lead the Crusaders… Taylor Campbell finished with 9 points, Blair Quarles 6, Julia Kerber & Jennifer Wu 4 each while Regan Williamson & Hannah Stribling finished with 2 each and Florence Mitchell 1.

Yesterday’s Results

  • CMS-W 42 – CMS-R 30… The way the seeding worked out the CMS White Wildcat had to face the CMS Red Wildcats in the opening game of the tournament for each team… From the start the White Wildcats used a press that the Red Wildcats could not handle as the Red team turned the ball over more than 3 time the turnover rate as the White Wildcats thus the White Wildcats pulled away early and went on to a 42-20 win over the Red Wildcats… The White team was led in scoring by Ashia Boyd with 16 points and Alexis McGowan with 10… The Red team was led in scoring by Taneal Evans with 7 points and Nikeja Boyd with 6…The Red Wildcats advance in the tournament to play Mid-Carolina at 5 pm tomorrow up at Hickory tavern.
