Resisting Arrest by Assault on Officer

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office booked a man Saturday after multiple offenses Friday. 32-year-old Terrell Lamar Kennedy of 1080 Bull Hill Road, Gray Court is charged with Resisting Arrest by Assault on Police Officer, another Resisting Arrest warrant, Breach of Peace and Unlawful Use of 911.

He is accused of knowingly and willfully resisting the lawful arrest by a law enforcement officer. Further, he is accused of assaulting, beating and/or wounding a law enforcement officer who was engaged in serving a legal process; allegedly slamming the Deputy’s hand in the front door of a residence, resulting in bruising, and a small cut to the officer’s hand. Lamar Kennedy is accused of Breaching the Peace while being pursued by a Deputy by running to a neighbor’s residence and attempted to “bust” down the front door with his body, breaking the door glass. Kennedy was also accused of making calls to 911 without a lawful reason.

“Lamar” Kennedy remained in the Laurens County Detention Center this morning with cash or surety bonds totaling $7,900.
