Multiple Dogs Found Dead

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of dead dogs this morning. Chief Deputy Jarvis Reeder said that around 10:23 a.m. today  Deputies were notified by Laurens County Animal Control Officers that they had received a complainant of multiple dogs being found deceased on side of the roadway in the Gray Court Area. Upon arriving to the scene, the responding Deputy spoke with two Animal Control Officers at the intersection of Stoddard Mill Road and Ben Taylor Road, where they had observed four deceased dogs laying in a ditch. In addition, five deceased dogs were located on Bryson Ford Road and two more dogs were found deceased on Sweetbriar Road. Chief Reeder said that a preliminary investigation noted it appeared that some of the dogs were shot to death. As of midday today, the Sheriff’s Office was actively investigating the deaths of the dogs.
