  • Thursday: PC 13 – Liberty 7… The Blue Hose started a 3-game home series with the Liberty Flame yesterday and it’s good news here as PC’s Thatcher Coleman hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the sixth inning to put PC up 8-5, and the Blue Hose did not look back as they cruised to a 13-7 win over Liberty… For more information about this game, click here… The series continues today with a 2 pm game and the final game tomorrow at 1 pm… The games can be seen on the Big South Network.

  • Softball: JL Mann 12 – Laurens 1… The Laurens Raider softball team traveled up to Greenville yesterday to take on the Patriots of JL Mann… The two teams met earlier in the month at Laurens with the Patriots taking a 10-3 win… Well it was just about the same (or worse) as the Patriots took an 11-1 win in 6 innings… The game was scores until the third inning when the Patriots put 3 runs on the board… The Raiders responded by scoring their only run of the game in the top of the fourth inning… Kauree Munyan reached on an error and eventually scored on an RBI single by Cassie Plaia… After that, it was all Patriots as they got that run back in the bottom of the inning and then went on to score 5 runs in the fifth and then ended the game on the 10-run run rule by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning… The Raiders managed only 4 hits in the game and in addition to Plaia’ RBI single, Octavia Johnson, Jillian Sward and Rachel Delio had one hit each… For the game’s box score and some stats, click on the following: LDHS-SB-3-29-18-Mann… For the games scorecard, click on the following: LDHS-SB-3-29-18-Mann-SC… The Raiders now take a few days off for the Spring Break and will be back in action on Monday, 4-9-18 when they travel to Boiling Springs for a JV – varsity doubleheader.
