Arrest in March 23rd Car Theft

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office served charges yesterday on one of three suspects noted in a car-theft case from last month. 22-year-old Kayla Dawn Armstrong of 506 Miller Road, Greenville was charged with Grand Larceny. Sheriff’s Investigator David Staton states that on March 23rd Ms. Armstrong carried away a 2002 Toyota Camry, valued at $2,500, without permission and with intent to permanently deprive the victim. Two co-defendants in the alleged theft were noted in the warrant. Kayla Dawn Armstrong was being held in the Laurens County Detention Center overnight, with a bond hearing expected today.
