Defense Begins in Jim Bolt Murder

The Prosecution concluded its case this morning in the trail of A.J. Bowers for Murder in the September, 2003 death of Jim Bolt at the Laurens VFW.

The defense indicated it wanted to call an employee of a School District in Florida where Bowers went to school as a child. The prosecution questioned this. There was a lot of technical discussion between Judge Hocker, the prosecution and defense regarding witnesses. There appears to have been questions whether Bowers was able to understand the process involved in the statements he gave Laurens Police in 2003.

When court resumes at 2:15 this afternoon, it appears the Defense will call the woman as it’s first witness.
