Unlawful Carry, Possession of Stolen Pistol

A man arrested shortly before midnight Tuesday night was charged with Firearms offenses yesterday. 24-year-old Malcolm Jamale Raheem Moses of 145 Gray Barn Road, Laurens was arrested late Tuesday night, with Deputy Benjamin Perry issuing a ticket charging him with Simple Possession of Marijuana on Main Street, Clinton at 11:54 Tuesday night. Yesterday, he was also charged with Receiving Stolen Goods and Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol.

In warrants, Deputy Perry states that on June 12th Mr. Moses received a Glock model 23, 40-caliber handgun, valued at $549, knowing at the time that it was stolen. Deputy Perry further states that on June 12th Malcolm Moses unlawfully carried the pistol about his person without being authorized by law to do so.

Cash or surety bonds were set totaling $4,615 on the three charges. Malcolm Jamale Raheem Moses remained in custody this morning.
