19-Year-Old Charged with Burglary

A Burglary Monday was alleged with a Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrest yesterday. 19-year-old Jamarcus Mantrell Jennings of 63 Setzler Road, Laurens was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Giving False Information to Law Enforcement and Obtaining Signature Under False Pretense.

Deputy Adam Galloway states that on July 9th Jennings entered a dwelling on Setzler Road belonging to someone else without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein. Galloway states that Jennings gave false information to an officer in that he denied knowledge of a Burglary he had committed, moments after the Burglary had occurred. Also on Monday, Jennings allegedly obtained money from Pawn Works with intent to cheat and defraud that victim, knowing the pawned items were stolen.

Jamarcus Mantrell Jennings was being held overnight, with a bond hearing expected today.
