The Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy will welcome pharmacy practice residents from its teaching and learning curriculum this month. Next week, on July 18th, an orientation will be held for the residents, who are from Greenville Health System and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
A meet and greet luncheon will be held at the pharmacy school during the afternoon, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The lunch will be a chance for the residents to meet and network among faculty and staff.
Throughout the year, these residents will collaborate with faculty members at the PC School of Pharmacy. Residents will work with faculty members who share the same interests in the field of pharmacy.
The residents will help PC School of Pharmacy faculty members teach classes and run labs throughout the year. Residents earn a certificate at the end of the year for successfully completing the program.
Dr. Jennifer N. Clements, professor and director of Postgraduate Education at the School of Pharmacy, will serve as the coordinator for the program and a consistent mentor for all residents, as they complete certain experiences at the pharmacy school.
