Florence Coming For A Visit

The forecast track for Hurricane Florence has changed dramatically.  The hurricane is now predicted to make landfall very near the South Carolina/North Carolina border late Friday night or very early on Saturday morning.

The storm will then slowly meander south into the Myrtle Beach area and they head inland, passing over the Florence area as a tropical storm and eventually just south of Laurens County as a tropical depression.

Keep in mind that the strongest winds and heaviest rains from a tropical system are generally found just north of the center of circulation.  For Sunday late afternoon into Monday morning you should expect 30-40mph winds and occasional very heavy rainfall.  Plan for power outages due to falling limbs or even trees.

WLBG will keep you updated on Florence as new information becomes available.
