Schools Dismissing Early Friday. PC Cancels Classes & Reschedules Events

Due to unknown circumstances due to the impending hurricane, our local school districts will be dismissing early Friday.

Dr. Ed Murray has informed WLBG that all District 55 schools will be on a half day schedule today.

Laurens County School District 56 has announced dismissal times today as well.

The M.S. Bailey Child Development Center will dismiss at 11:30am

Clinton Elementary, Eastside and Joanna-Woodson will dismiss at 12:00 Noon

Clinton Middle and Clinton High School will dismiss at 12:30pm

In Newberry County all elementary schools will dismiss at 11:00am

and all middle and high schools will dismiss at 11:30am

Presbyterian College has canceled classes on today Friday, Sept. 14 and Monday, Sept. 17 due to the potential for hazardous weather brought about by Hurricane Florence. College offices will operate on a regular schedule, but various events have been canceled or postponed. The PC football game against Stetson University scheduled for tomorrow, Sept. 15, has been canceled. Family Weekend has been rescheduled for Sept. 21-23. In addition, Preview PC, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, has been postponed until Saturday, Oct. 13. Updates will be posted on www.presby.edu/weather
