Multiple Charges, New & Old

A man arrested just after midnight yesterday morning for a traffic charge is now also being held for other past charges. 25-year-old Nicholas Kiriakas Franks of 516 Evans Drive, Clinton was arrested, initially issued tickets by Lt. Charles Simmons charging him with Careless Driving and Resisting Arrest at 12:29 am yesterday on West Farley Avenue. He was then served with Bench Warrants regarding other charges including Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Convicted of a Violent Crime, Driving under Suspension 2nd Offense and Unlawful carrying of a Pistol. Those charges reportedly include cases involving multiple offense for Driving under Suspension on Melrose Drive along with the firearms violations. Franks was also served with a Contempt of Municipal Court Bench Warrant.

Nicholas Kiriakas Franks remained in detention this morning with bonds or fines totaling $30,500.
